About Me

I'm an actor/dancer/performance artist/writer who came to Austin in 2009 by way of New York, Dallas, El Paso, St. Louis, and Seattle. I studied Experimental Theatre while attending NYU’s Tisch School of Arts, and received a BFA with honors in 2007. I am currently a member of Diamond Girls Model Management, the Vortex Repertory Company, and the Generic Ensemble Company; I have also worked with Baharat Belly Dance Ensemble and the Royal Pretenders. For fun, I enjoy running races, dancing and listening to Brazilian music, as well as dancing Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha, and Hustle.

As an artist and writer, my goal is to help my audience remember their joy and/or remind them that they are not alone in their struggle. What I write or perform may not always be hilarious or light, but it will always come from an honest place. [All the entries are first or second drafts - none of them are intended to be final because I want them to read as authentic and honest - like a journal entry while being conscientious of the fact that there's an audience.]

I've been blogging since 2004.  Before moving to Blogger when I arrived in Austin in 2009, I had a Xanga (I know. I know.)   Feel free to visit the college undergraduate and recent college graduate versions of myself - I think they're amusing and a bit humiliating.  I also had a special blog for my semester in Ireland - another peek into the 20-year old version of myself.  Antics.
